SEWA & PSF Celebrate Day of the Girls

Non-profit Organization Smart Education & Welfare Association® (SEWA) & Parvez Sagar Foundation, India celebrate the International Day of the Girls in Saharanpur (UP) of North India. SEWA & PSF, India organize a seminar and awareness event at Guru Nanak Girls Inter College, Gandhi Park, Saharanpur. Chief Guest Mrs. Vijyashri Shukla appreciates the work and efforts of SEWA and PSF India. Special guest Doctor Nutan Upadhyay gave the health tips to the students. International Judo Expert Deepak Gupta teach self defense techniques to the girls.
Coordinator Mr. Tanveer and PRO Neena Dhingra said “On December 19, 2011, the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170 to declare 11 October as the International Day of the Girl Child, to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world. For its second observance, this year’s Day will focus on “Innovating for Girls’ Education”.
The fulfillment of girls’ right to education is first and foremost an obligation and moral imperative. There is also overwhelming evidence that girls’ education, especially at the secondary level, is a powerful transformative force for societies and girls themselves: it is the one consistent positive determinant of practically every desired development outcome, from reductions in mortality and fertility, to poverty reduction and equitable growth, to social norm change and democratization.
While there has been significant progress in improving girls’ access to education over the last two decades, many girls, particularly the most marginalized, continue to be deprived of this basic right. Girls in many countries are still unable to attend school and complete their education due to safety-related, financial, institutional and cultural barriers. Even when girls are in school, perceived low returns from poor quality of education, low aspirations, or household chores and other responsibilities keep them from attending school or from achieving adequate learning outcomes. The transformative potential for girls and societies promised through girls’ education is yet to be realized.
Recognizing the need for fresh and creative perspectives to propel girls’ education forward, the 2013 International Day of the Girl Child will address the importance of new technology, but also innovation in partnerships, policies, resource utilization, community mobilization, and most of all, the engagement of young people themselves.”
Finely Tanveer and Neena gave thanks to college Principal Mrs. Balvindra Kaur and vice Principal Suman Chawla. On this occasion Mrs. Neera Garg, Awaneet Kaur, Tajwar, Diksha, Priya Naini and 150 girls students was present in the event.

SEWA Excellence Awards 2013

Smart Education & Welfare Association (Reg.) SEWA and PSF India organized first state level SEWA Excellence Awards 2013 on 8th of May 2013 at Convention center, Hotel Amar, Agra. SEWA & PSF Awarded many personalities for excellence work in their own filed. Hon,ble cabinet minister of uttar pradesh Mr. Raja Mahendra Aridaman Singh was the chief Guest of this wonderful event. SEWA & PSF also held a seminar on the topic of "Agra- My City, My responsibility" after award ceremony.

SEWA Celebrate World Water Day 2013

Well-known social organization Smart Education & Welfare Association® ‘SEWA’ and PSF celebrate World Water Day on Friday in Saharanpur city of Uttar Pradesh. Volunteers of SEWA & PSF organized a water conservation awareness rally with the students of SEWA free education center.  All students had water awareness posters in their hands in rally. This event took place at hasan colony, old kalsiya Road. In the rally PRO Neena Dhingra, Manager of SEWA Free education center Mohd. Tabrez and center Head Mrs. Tarrnum Janha were present with students.

Water resources are under increasing pressure in many parts of the world, and Asia is no exception. We must improve the way we use and manage our water resources if we are to continue to benefit from the vital services our water ecosystems provide.

महिलाऐं सुरक्षा को लेकर जागरुक हों- सदफ

भारतीय टेलीविज़न इंड्रस्टी की जानी मानी कॉस्टमॉलोजिस्ट और मेकअप डायरेक्टर सदफ खान ने प्रख्यात सामाजिक संस्था स्मार्ट एजुकेशन एण्ड वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ‘सेवा’ के साथ मिलकर महिलाओं पर हो रही हिंसा और कन्या भ्रूण हत्या के खिलाफ आवाज़ बुलंद की है। सदफ ने आगरा में सेवा के कार्यों की सराहना करते हुये महिलाओं की सुरक्षा के लिये कड़े कदम उठाये जाने पर ज़ोर दिया। निजी यात्रा पर दिल्ली से आगरा पहुंची सदफ खान स्मार्ट एजुकेशन एण्ड वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ‘सेवा’ के सेव गर्ल चाइल्ड़ कैम्पन को सर्पोट कर रही हैं। भारतीय टेलीविज़न के कलाकारों को नया रुप रंग देने में महारत रखने वाली सदफ खान लखनऊ की रहने वाली हैं। लेकिन वे पिछले कई सालों से दिल्ली और मुम्बई में रहकर काम कर रही हैं। प्रोफेशनल मेकअप आर्टिस्ट के रुप में काम शुरु करने वाली सदफ ने अपने हूनर की वजह से इंड्रस्टी एक अहम मुकाम बना लिया है। वीएलसीसी और लेक्मे जैसे प्रतिष्ठित संस्थानों में ट्रेनर और फैकल्टी रह चुकी सदफ ने ज़ी टीवी और पीटीसी पंजाबी चैनल में बतौर मेकअप निर्देशक काम किया। यही नही कई न्यूज़ चैनल्स में विशेष कार्यक्रमों के लिये उन्होने अपनी सेवाऐं दी। इन दिनों सदफ मुम्बई और दिल्ली में रहकर कई टीवी प्रोजेक्ट और एड फिल्मों के लिये काम कर रही हैं। कई माडलिंग फोटो सेशनस् में भी वो अपना कमाल दिखा रही हैं। काम के साथ-साथ वो लगातार समाजहित के कार्य भी करती रही हैं। अपने एक दिवसीय आगरा प्रवास के दौरान सदफ ने स्मार्ट एजुकेशन एण्ड वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ‘सेवा’ के साथ सेव गर्ल चाइल्ड़ का नारा बुलंद किया। दिल्ली गेट स्थित राजकीय पर्यटक आवास गृह में सर्किट मैनेजर शाहिद जमाल सिद्दीकी ने फूलों का गुलदस्ता भेंटकर सदफ खान का स्वागत किया। सेवा की ओर से बालिका स्वंयसेवी इब्रा, ज़रीन, अलीना सिंह ने सदफ का स्वागत किया। स्मार्ट एजुकेशन एण्ड वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ‘सेवा’ के महिला सुरक्षा जागरुकता अभियान पर बोलते हुये सदफ ने कहा कि आज समाज में इस तरह के जागरुकता अभियानों की ज़रुरत पिछड़े ही नही बल्कि विकसित इलाकों में भी है। क्योंकि महिलाऐं शहरों में भी सुरक्षित नही हैं। जिसका उदहारण दिल्ली में होने वाली घटनाऐं हैं। उन्होने अपील करते हुये कहा कि लड़कियां खुद को कमज़ोर ना समझकर विरोध करें। आत्मरक्षा के नये तरीकों पर अमल करें। उन्होने स्मार्ट एजुकेशन एण्ड वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ‘सेवा’ से महिलाओं को आत्मरक्षा के लिये प्रशिक्षित किये जाने की अपील भी की। सदफ ने आगरा, सहारनपुर और एनसीआर में सेवा द्वारा किये जा रहे कार्यों की प्रशंसा करते हुये दूसरे संगठनों को इससे प्रेरणा लेने की सलाह दी। इस मौके पर सेवा के स्वंयसेवी एम. तनवीर, अलीना सिंह, आकिल, एसएस रिज़वी, अमित खत्री, धमेन्द्र कुमार, दीपक, ज़फर अब्बास रिज़वी, डॉ. अशोक सिंह, सानिया सिद्दीकी, अलीशा, रानी, अफशीन, एसके सिंह, रमीज़ राजा, श्रीमती नसरीन सिद्दीकी, ग्राम विकास अधिकारी सुरेश कुमार सिंह एंव सर्वोत्तम सिंह आदि की उपस्थिति उल्लेखनीय रही।

पूरे साल चलेगा महिला सुरक्षा जागरुकता अभियान

आगरा। महिला और बाल अधिकारों के लिये काम करने वाली प्रख्यात सामाजिक संस्था स्मार्ट एजुकेशन एण्ड वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन सेवा और पीएसएफ ने नये साल की शुरुआत दिल्ली गैंग रेप की शिकार हुई युवती की स्मृति में पौधारोपण से की। सेवा इस नये वर्ष को महिला सुरक्षा जागरुकता वर्ष के रुप में मनाएगी। जिसके तहत प्रदेश के कई जनपदों में महिलाओं की सुरक्षा को लेकर कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जायेंगे।

उत्तर प्रदेश में चार सालों से समाजहित में कार्य करने वाली स्वंयसेवी संस्था सेवा ने महिलाओं की सुरक्षा और उनकी जागरुकता को लेकर चिन्ता जताते हुये। नये साल को महिला सुरक्षा वर्ष के रुप मे मनाने का निर्णय लिया है। इसी के तहत साल के पहले दिन सेवा के स्वंयसेवियों ने राजामण्डी स्टेशन के पास स्थित राजकीय पर्यटक आवास गृह परिसर में दिल्ली गैंग रेप की शिकार हुई युवती की स्मृति में पौधारोपण किया। सेवा की ओर से स्वंयसेवी अलिशा ने उत्साहित होकर ये सफेद चांदनी का पौधा रोपित किया। इसके अलावा अन्य स्वंयसेवियों ने भी पौधे लगाये। इस मौके पर पर्यटन अधिकारी शाहिद सिद्दिकी ने कहा कि सेवा से दूसरी संस्थाओं को प्रेरणा लेकर कार्य करना चाहिये। उन्होने सेवा द्वारा महिला सुरक्षा जागरुकता के लिये शुरु किये जा रहे अभियान की सराहना करते हुये कहा कि हालात इस तरह से बिगड़ चुके हैं कि हम सबको इस तरह के अपराध का मुंहतोड़ जवाब देना चाहिये। ताकि इस घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति ना हो।

सेवा की और से दामिनी की याद में पौधा रोपित करने वाली स्वंयसेवी अलिशा ने कहा कि नया साल महिलाओं के लिये सुरक्षित हो हम सभी ही कामना करते हैं। साथ ही लोगों से अपील करते हैं कि वो ऐसे गुनाह में शामिल लोगों को सज़ा-ए-मौत देने की मांग का समर्थन करने के लिये सेवा के साथ आयें।

इस मौके पर सेवा के स्वंयसेवी रमीज़ राजा, अलीना सिंह, सीनियर होटल मैनेजमेन्ट फैकल्टी इक़बाल खान, ओम प्रकाश, इब्रा, विजय त्रिपाठी, एस.राजू, विकास मिश्रा, ज़फर अब्बास रिज़वी आदि की उपस्थिति उल्लेखनीय रही। 

Environment & Education Awareness Event in Agra

Smart Education & Welfare Association® ‘SEWA’ & PSF organized Environment Conservation and Women Education Awareness Event in Agra on Wednesday, 12-12-12. SEWA started this event with plantation by chief guest DFO Agra Mr.N.K.Janu (IFS), Labor court judge Mr. Shashikant Sharma (IAS) and ADA Secretary Mr. Ravinder Gupta (PCS). The entire honorable guest appreciates SEWA work. SEWA India present plants to guests.

SEWA Celebrate Diwali & Children's Day at Slum

Smart Education & Welfare Association® SEWA and PSF Celebrate Diwali on Children’s Day at slum area of Agra on Wednesday.

The Volunteers of SEWA & PSF have distributed crackers and sweets to children of the slum. SEWA’s Volunteer told them importance of Deepawali festival and Children’s Day.

            On this occasion Volunteer Mr. Ashok Agarwal, Alina, Sonu, Pinku, Shubham Agarwal, Rameez Raja, Shanu, Pooja Singh, S. Raju and Iqbal khan etc was present.

सेवा ने भी किया महिला हिंसा का विरोध

समाज में महिलाओं और खासकर नाबालिग बालिकाओं के खिलाफ हो रहे अपराधों, हिंसा और शोषण के खिलाफ सामाजिक संगठनों ने मोर्चा खोल दिया है। इसी कड़ी में उत्तर प्रदेश के सहारनपुर ज़िले में विभिन्न सामाजिक एंव गैर सरकारी संगठनों ने महिलाओं और नाबालिग बालिकाओं के खिलाफ हो रही हिंसा के विरोध में आवाज़ बुलंद की है। सहारनपुर के रोटरी कल्ब हॉल में महिला हिंसा विरोध सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया। इस सम्मेलन में कई प्रदेशों की महिलाओं ने भागेदारी कर उनके खिलाफ होने वाले अत्याचारों और शोषण के खिलाफ आवाज़ उठाई। 
महिला हिंसा विरोध सम्मेलन में स्मार्ट एजुकेशन एण्ड वैलफेयर एसोसिएशन (रजि.) सेवा के संस्थापक जाने-माने टीवी पत्रकार परवेज़ सागर और सेवा की प्रवक्ता नीना ढींगरा ने अपने सहयोगियों के साथ शिरकत की। उन्होने सम्मेलन में महिलाओं के अधिकारों और उनकी शिक्षा के मुद्दों पर बात की। सेवा ने मलाला युसुफज़ई का सामुहिक समर्थन करने पर भी ज़ोर दिया। 
सम्मेलन में सेवा के अलावा दिशा, विकल्प, ज्ञान गंगा शिक्षा समिति, घाड़ क्षेत्र महिला मोर्चा और राष्ट्रीय वन-जन श्रमजीवी मंच ने भागेदारी की। इस मौके पर सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता डॉ. सुरेन्द्र निश्चल, शाहिद ज़ुबैरी, दिनेश तेजान, कुदसिया अंजुम, रोमा, अशोक चौधरी समेत कई लोगों की उपस्थिति उल्लेखनीय रही। सेवा ने इस तरह के कार्यक्रमों में बढ़चढ़ कर सहयोग करने का संकल्प भी दोहराया।

International Day of the Girls Celebration

Reputed Non-Profit Organization, Smart Education & Welfare Association 'SEWA' and PSF Celebrate first International Day of the Girls in the city of Taj Mahal. This Day started in 2011 by the United Nation. International Day of the Girls dedicated to girl education and empowerment.

       October 11, is the First International Day of the Girl Child declared by The United Nations. It promotes girls’ rights and highlights gender inequalities that remain between girls and boys. The International Day of the Girl Child gives people and organizations the opportunity to raise public awareness of the different types of discrimination and abuse from which many girls around the world suffer.

        SEWA India and PSF Celebrate this occasion at Anwari Nilofer Girls Inter Collage, Mantola, Agra. Chief guest of programme ADM F/R Mr. CP Singh and Tourism Officer Geetanjali Yadav appreciate the work of SEWA. They appeal to students to get higher education for the bright future. Senior Volunteer S.Raju told to guest and students about work of SEWA India. He said SEWA will start a self employment trainig center and free education center in Agra very soon. He gave thanks to Chief Guest and collage staff for their cooperation in this event. On this occasion Collage Principal Mrs. Paini Kapoor, boys collage Principal Dr. Mohd. SEWA Celebrated Gandhi Jayanti

Non-Profit Organization Smart Education & Welfare Association® SEWA and PSF celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Shashtri jayanti at Namra Public School, Saharanpur on 2^nd of October 2012. On this occasion SEWA’s senior volunteer Mrs. Neena Dhingra explain life summary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shashtri to students. SEWA distributed sweets, copies, pencils and new books to all students of SEWA free education center and Namra Public School.
